About Us
Tidewater Corvette club was founded in July 2007 with just (9) members (Tbaby, Faison, Earl, Ron, Larry, Garnett, Dan, Mundy and James). Our membership consists of people of all ages, professions, and backgrounds. We enjoy participating in informal social outings as well as fellowshipping with other car clubs. We have traveled to shows all up and down the East Coast and have met many fellow Corvette owners & clubs along the way.
We are also members of the Virginia Peninsula Car Club Council, National Council of Corvette Clubs and United Council of Corvette Clubs. You may find out more about them at vpccc.org, www.CorvettesNCCC.org and www.unitedcouncil.com for events and local clubs in your area.
Mission and Purpose
Description: Serving the seven cities Hampton, Newport News, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk and Virginia Beach.
Purpose: The Tidewater Corvette Clubs main purpose is to promote goodwill and harmony in the local communities. Monies raised through fund raising events such as car expos and social gatherings, will be donated to various charities. The Donations Committee will select various charitable organizations every year that need support and funding.
Goals: Our goal is to give back to the community not only financially but also by motivating our young people to be focused on positive goals and achievements. In our efforts, we will encourage other Corvette owners to gather to exchange ideas, general and technical information as it relates to this all American classic automobile. We hope that our pride of ownership will inspire the youth of our communities to work hard, be determined, and pursue their dreams.
